Stephen is currently an undergraduate sophomore student attending Virginia Commonwealth University. He is currently working with Dr. Sinan Guven, Ishwari Poudel, and Zeynep Escansen on cell culturing and tissue engineering. His primary focus is neurogenesis and vasculogenesis. He plans on going on to obtain a bachelor’s of science in Biomedical Engineering and continuing his studies by attending graduate school for Biomedical Engineering as well.
Fernando is an undergraduate sophomore student attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is studying as a candidate for a bachelor’s of science in Chemical and Biological Engineering with an interest in tissue engineering and drug development and delivery. Fernando is participating in MIT’s Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program under Dr. Sinan Guven in a project involving the differentiating pluripotent stem cells into cortical neurons.
Michael Zhang graduated with a BS degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. He is a Research Trainee under Dr. Hadi Shafiee at the BAMM Labs. He would like to expand his knowledge and experience in biomedical research and ultimately pursue an advanced degree in biomedical engineering.
